Strategic Planning Event Recap and Survey
Thank you to everyone who participated in making FRI’s Strategic Planning Workshop a great success!*
More than 30 people showed up on a stormy morning and joined us online. Those in attendance included undergraduate and graduate students and faculty from over 15 departments, staff from several offices, one state government agency, as well as engaged community members.
Participants shared the importance of FRI’s work and their vision for FRI. Themes included expanding ADQ workshops; doing meaningful interdisciplinary research; forming more community-driven research coalitions; and engaging with our roots in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. We are deeply grateful for the range of ideas and expertise that participants contributed!
We are also very thankful to everyone who started FRI on this path and have helped FRI reach its goals. Lastly, a big thank you to the FRI team and the undergraduate interns for organizing the event and, especially to Megan Williams for being the lead facilitator!
We will present our next steps at the 2024 FRI Symposium.
